(a) Como a expressão que define a função $f$ é uma raiz quadrada, o radicando tem que ser não negativo, e, sendo o radicando uma fracção, o denominador não pode ser nulo.

A função $g$ apenas envolve um radicando portanto,

\item[(b)]Os zeros de $f$ são os pontos do domínio de $f$ que anulam a função:
$$\{x \in D_f: f(x)=0\}=\{x \in D_f: 2x-4=0\}=\{2\}.$$
Como a função não está definida em $0$, não existe $f(0)$.

Os zeros de $g$ são os pontos do domínio de $g$ que anulam a função, i.e., $\{x \in D_g: g(x)=0\}$.
$$g(x)=0\Leftrightarrow 3- \sqrt{x+1}=0\Leftrightarrow \underbrace{\sqrt{x+1}=\DS 3\Leftrightarrow x+1=9}_{\tiny (\mbox{há equivalência porque }x\geq -1)} \Leftrightarrow x=8.$$
Assim, $g(x)=0$ se e só se $x=8$.

Como $0 \in D_g$ podemos calcular $g(0)=3- \sqrt{0+1}=2$.
